Coastal Community Mediation Center of North Carolina

Empowering Solutions, Healing Divisions: Together through Mediation

Coastal Community Mediation Center provides conflict resolution services by providing individuals and groups an opportunity to work through barriers created by conflict.

What is Mediation?

Mediation is a voluntary process built on mutual agreement and collaboration. It provides a space where both parties come together, guided by an experienced mediator skilled in navigating tough conversations and helping you develop an effective solution.

No matter where you are in the mediation journey, our mission is to ensure that every participant walks away with a mutually beneficial resolution that addresses their needs.

  • A skilled, neutral mediator dedicated to creating a respectful space that fosters

    open and constructive dialogue.

  • A complimentary intake process designed to help determine whether mediation is the right approach for your situation.

  • An opportunity for each participant to express their concerns and priorities, with a shared goal of finding a meaningful resolution.

  • If a resolution is achieved, a written agreement will be crafted to emphasize key details, guide future decisions, and address any unresolved or potential

    concerns.

  • Workplace & Family/Community Mediations

    Workplace:

Disputes in the workplace, including between employees, are not uncommon. We can sit down with the parties and provide a neutral perspective as we assist with a conversation.

Another common need for mediation in the workspace is business/consumer disputes. Our mediators look to provide an opportunity to work toward a resolution to the issue or circumstance before any court action.

    Family/Community Mediation:

Working with families often involves establishing boundaries, including those regarding teenagers and/or inexperienced drivers, family finances, communication, and more.

  • HOA & Neighbor Dispute Mediations

    HOA Mediation:

In North Carolina, homeowners associations (HOAs) and condo associations can utilize voluntary pre-litigation mediation to resolve disputes, as outlined in N.C.G.S. § 7A-38.3F, with both parties needing to agree to mediate and costs shared equally.

    Neighbor Dispute Mediation:

A variety of issues may occur with neighbors, such as loud music, pet problems, and parking, to name a few. We can assist with guiding a discussion between the parties to try to solve the issue at hand.
